Abandon the search for truth. Settle for a good fantasy. -Anonymous, and why I write and read There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all. -Oscar Wilde, and why I read what I read All happy families resemble each other, each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. -Leo Tolstoy, and why I write what I write It is impossible to enjoy idling thoroughly unless one has plenty of work to do. -Jerome K. Jerome, and why I love the fandom as much as I do

The light by your bed burns brightly, and in the silence of the room you flip the page of a book, but the black ink bleeds into the paper and the lines blur into meaningless jumble.
You stop to rub your temples and you fetch another cup of tea.
You sip, and the aroma nudges your senses awake, so you resume waiting for him to come home, with alcohol in his breath and the marks of other men on his skin. You open the book.
Nothing still makes sense.
It is late, and you are as blind as the night.

Title: Ava Adore Fandom: Harry Potter Pairing: Harry/Ginny Rating: PG Word Count: 200 Summary: Harry and Ginny are in love, but. Post-war. Additional Notes: Again, written for xylodemon's I Didn't Get to Go to TWH Ficlet-a-thon. For saphreanth, who prompted with Harry/Ginny. Post-war, but dark. They are both definitely in love with one another, but still, dark. Prompt: lovely girl, you're the murder in my world (from the song Ava Adore by The Smashing Pumpkins). Thanks also goes to siobhanohare, who laughed at me when my word count went from 58 to 74 in thirty minutes. :| Sometimes she’d like to believe in fairy tales, like she did when she was so much younger. Sometimes she wished that a boy’s smile and the flutter of a girl’s heart set everything right. Sometimes she wanted to close her eyes and open them to white picket fences and sun-dappled gardens and his smile. Her blush. Everything right. *He thought it would be over when it was over. He thought he’d finally get his normal life back, the one that was stolen from him when he was one, the one that kept slipping from his fingers when he was thirteen, and then sixteen. He deserved to be surrounded by his friends, not haunted by their memories. *There was a story once, tucked between a poem and a tale of knights and quests, of a perfect, short life traded in for a longer, tragic story trapped in the pages of a gift. She wonders if she’d made that choice. *In a quiet moment he finds her in the kitchen, humming to herself. He stands behind her, hand resting comfortably on her stomach as he kisses her good morning. She leans back against him and he smiles. She blushes. And everything’s right. Title: Good Morning Ginny Fandom: Harry Potter Pairing: Harry/Ron Length: 100 words Rating: PG13 Warnings: None Summary: 9am at the Potter-Weasley house. Additional Notes: For ant_power, who prompted me with "pirates". Ant, this is the second of the last drabble I had to do, because for some reason, I had too many ideas. LOL. Er. I hope you like it anyway. <333 Ginny loved Harry, and she adored Ron, but sometimes days like these-- She stepped carefully over the boys' living room floor, following the trail of clothing that led to the bedroom. There was that white polo Ron got last Christmas, Harry's favourite pair of trousers, and the belt that came with it. A sock draped over the edge of the potted plant they'd somehow named Fletcher and an eyepatch hung from the bedroom's doorknob. An eyepatch? "RONALD BILIUS WEASLEY!" she screamed, slamming the door open to Harry and Ron's sheepish grins. "IS THIS WHY YOU BORROWED MY SON'S PIRATE COSTUME?" Title: It Was Fandom: Harry Potter Pairing: Cho/Ginny Length: 100 words Rating: PG Warnings: None Additional Notes: For vexiphem, who requested Ginny/Cho with the keywords "I traded the only player that was bigger than the game", or something to that effect. Er, this was what came up. :P Edit: For fanfic100, for the prompt Air. It was the way she flew. It was the way she gripped onto the broom, small hands suddenly firm and strong. It was the way she leaned forward with focused almond-brown eyes, the way long black hair followed the wind behind her. It enthralled her. *It was the way she flew yesterday. It was the way her small, delicate hands trembled ever so slightly, and the way she held onto the broom not to direct it, but to cling to it. It was the stoop in her posture, the limpness in her tied down hair. It almost broke her heart. Title: Vases of Vanity Fandom: Harry Potter Pairing: Pansy/Ginny Word Count: 100 words Rating: PG Additional Notes: Written for fallenravie, who requested Pansy/Ginny with the prompt "See yourself through flowers in a jar". She turns her face at different angles, examines her make-up, and nods at herself in the mirror. "Ready for the Ball?" "In a while," she calls out, and steps out in elegant robes. She is beautiful. *She tucks pale freckled arms into his, blushes at compliments, and hears them whisper, 'she's so lucky'. "Have I introduced you to--" "Pleased to meet you," she says, smiling amidst envious awe. She is sweet. *Later they are alone-- her make-up is smudged, her smile is gone. She isn't beautiful with lonely tears, and her desperate kisses aren't sweet. It's not what matters.
