For Christmas that year Pansy had given Draco a present for a night out on Muggle London, providing them with dinner reservations at a classy restaurant as well as luxury accommodations for the night. Her note had instructed Draco to introduce his 'companion' to culture and that she still did not quite approve.

Ron had been stunned.

"Close your mouth, Weasley, unless you’d like to put it to better uses," Draco smirked, tugging his companion to the bed of their hotel room and hoping Pansy forgives him for ignoring dinner reservations, and the socks Ron thought fit to get her.

Colours have a way of defining, shaping, Theodore's life. Green for the colours he proudly wears, black for the colours he soon shall. All shades of these colours, cool and dark, are good for him--blend in the black of night, wear robes of dark green, make acquaintances with Ravenclaw blue.

He avoids all hues and shades of red, warm and bright, like the red and gold of Gryffindor arrogance, the happy yellows of Hufflepuff inanity, red-orange of Weasley poverty, and he slips into black night from Draco's bed to his just before the sky turns orange and betrays him.

"Didn't take you long to warm up." Zacharias smirked.

Draco studiously ignored him. "It's only for Christmas."

"It's not even a proper Jewish holiday."

"You're Jewish too?"

"Brilliant. I've Nazi in-laws."

"Close enough," Draco said. "Don't we have any common ground?"

"We're both boys?"

Draco held his face in his hands and sobbed.

"Tell me again how this happened?"

Draco glared at the look of amusement which Harry was trying, and - as his was a very poor attempt to begin with - failing, to hide.

"No, really," Harry hastily said, straightening his face so that his mouth didn't twitch slightly up.

Draco continued giving him a suspicious look, but relented after a few moments. "I wanted to surprise you," he started.

Harry nodded, willing himself to keep a straight face.

"So I got the idea, and, well, you get the picture," Draco gestured feebly, face flushing.

"I think you'll have to be more detailed than that," Harry said, shaking his head. God, the things Draco got himself into. Harry almost felt sorry for what he had to say next. "I won't help you if you don't tell me."

Draco's eye twitched.

So did Harry's lips.

"I thought it would be a good idea to wrap myself up for you," Draco gritted out finally. "Except--"

"There'd been no wrapping paper," Harry supplied.

Draco nodded. "Only--"

"Tinsel."

"And a spell gone mad," Draco pouted from where he lay sideways on the floor, naked and tied up in different sparkly colours of tinsel.

He barely turns his blond head to watch as they leave the hall.
