Additional Notes: Written for fallenravie, who requested Pansy/Ginny with the prompt "See yourself through flowers in a jar".
She turns her face at different angles, examines her make-up, and nods at herself in the mirror.
"Ready for the Ball?"
"In a while," she calls out, and steps out in elegant robes.
She is beautiful.
She tucks pale freckled arms into his, blushes at compliments, and hears them whisper, 'she's so lucky'.
"Have I introduced you to--"
"Pleased to meet you," she says, smiling amidst envious awe.
She is sweet.
Later they are alone-- her make-up is smudged, her smile is gone. She isn't beautiful with lonely tears, and her desperate kisses aren't sweet.
It's not what matters.
